ViewSonic and Vizio to extend LCD brands to tablet PCs and smartphones, on potential of connected TVs, say Taiwan makers

ViewSonic has launched tablet PCs and smartphones and Vizio will unveil a Android-based tablet PC and smartphones at the upcoming 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The companies are expanding in these segments based on market potential of connecting screens of tablet PCs or smartphones with LCD TVs, according to Taiwan-based handset makers.
