Qualcomm ships dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon chipsets

Qualcomm has begun sampling its first dual-CPU Snapdragon chipsets that integrate two CPU cores running at up to 1.2GHz, according to the company. Targeted high-end smartphones, the dual-core MSM8260 and MSM8660 solutions are third-generation chipsets from Qualcomm's expanded Snapdragon platform, which has been powering smartphones, tablets and smartbook devices.
