India market: BSNL to count on WiMAX, expects 60 million subscribers in 2015

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL), the largest telecom service provider in India, has chosen WiMAX as its mainstream wireless broadband Internet-access technology, and expects the number of its WiMAX subscribers to reach 60 million in 2015, according to BSNL vice president of the enterprise business unit Ashok Maheshwari at the WiMAX Forum Congress Asia 2010 taking place in Taipei.
