5G development to integrate existing technologies to meet future mobile Internet-access demand, says METIS director

The development of fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication technology will aim to integrate existing technologies and upgrade them to meet mobile Internet-access demand in the future, according to director Afif Osserian (also working with Ericsson) for Mobile and Wireless Communications Enablers for the 2020 Information Society (METIS), a 5G research project co-funded by the European Commission.
