Sharp to launch 5-inch smartphone in China, Taiwan in 3Q12, say sources

Sharp is expected to launch a 5-inch smartphone in China and Taiwan simultaneously in the third quarter of 2012 targeting the entry-level and mid-range segments, according to industry sources. Sharp is outsourcing the production of the 5-inch model to Foxconn International Holdings (FIH).
