China market: China Telecom subsidizes 42% of purchases of mid-range smartphones, says report

China Telecom, the only CDMA 2000 mobile telecom carrier in China, has offered subsidies to cover 42% of purchase prices for 11 selected mid-range 3G smartphones, according to report by China-based tech.163.com.
