Nokia N95 8Gb scams and how to avoid them

Fellow members, I wanted to let you all know that the Nokia N95 8Gb is becoming a highly scammed product just as much as the iphone. I have taken much time and energy to research what actual prices are from nokia and Nokia price to Distributors. The N95 8Gb US is $750 from Nokia. You can find it online for mid 600s USD. But now onto Wholelsale. I have been at this for some time and when i got started i saw people offering N95 8Gb from $400 US to over $650 US. Being that the MSRP is $750 USD i did not believe that there was anyway someone could get that phone at $400 USD. So i spent much time researching this and calling Nokia as well as several worldwide Distributors and also knew someone who worked at Nokia regional headquarters and started discussing the wide range of pricing. And this is what i found out and am posting here in hopes to help others. Nokia does not sell the Euro or US version of the N95 8Gb to even their #1 worldwide Distributor for $400 USD. In fact price is right around the $500 mark. So if The legit sources for Nokia products can not even pick up the phones at that price then how can others get it at that cost? But they do not sell it to any wholesaler no matter how much you buy at that cost. I was not told the exact price but that no matter the price NO ONE SELLS LESS THEN $500. Rather i was told that if you could get around mid 500s you are doing well. If these wholesalers who post products at $400 and $495 USD and other such prices then Nokia\'s distributors would just buy from them. Contrary to other posts you may have seen on different boards Nokia products can not be purchased directly from them in bulk. This statement can be verified simply by placing a call to any Nokia regional headquarters. Nokia uses 3 worldwide distributors and then several smaller regional distributors. I have contacted Open Accounts over 100k and VAR (Vallue Added Reseller) accounts for as low as 7.5K I would point out that these distributors sell more in one week then anyone on any of the boards sell in a month. For 7.5k you may be able to buy about 11 in the US and 7.5kGPB around 14pcs. For 100K USd 150 pcs and 100K GBP 197pcs OK some members may look at this and say I can get more in the UK but there are two things here, although you could sell the European version in the US provided you had the right charger. The US model can not be legally sold in Europe because of the RoHs/WEEE standard. The other part of this is the monetary conversion. 525.00GBP is actually about 981.75USD. In closing I would just like to say that these are approximations based on a conversation with the 3 largest distributor of cell phones worldwide as well as Nokia themselves. Each purchase from a distributor is based on your order quanity or the mix of your order quanity and Supply and Demand for the Nokia N95 8Gb. I will say though that if you find anyone offering the N95 8Gb lower than $520.00 USD or 260GPB or 328 EURO they need to be scrutinized harshly. First thing you should look for is where are they getting the phones? Looking for a true distributor contact myself or contact one at 1+ 310-410-9072 that is the direct line. They will be able to help you as well. I get asked all the time well if they are offering a escrow or bank LC it must be legit. No not so. I have a customer who came to me after losing more then 85k in escrow for phones that were not at the FF warehouse upon arrival. And bank LC just ask around there have been members here as well as others who have lost money with a letter of credit. So i hope that my post here helps some of you to keep yourself from being scammed. By all means check out what i have to say for yourself. And i am not saying to only do business with me i just am here to help those getting started and even those who have been around to keep from being taken by the scammers here.

Another great post Livewire shame your not living within the EU can you email us to: sales@rspdistributionsltd.com thank you.

OK update. The prices are dropping weekly on the N95 8gb. we are now seeing dealer cost about $500 and even cost to brokers at around $510-$515. and just so everyone is clear. There are no N96s that are supposed to be sold yet. The only thing out there are pre production stock from nokia. Nokia website states they are coming soon. So as long as it says coming soon anyone out there saying they have N96s in bulk does not have them. so do not bother chasing phones all around the world when there are none to chase. You will only be wasting your time.
