HP and Acer to see 3-6% of notebooks affected by Intel chip defect in 1Q11

Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Acer internally expect 5-6% and 3-4% of their total notebook shipments will be affected by Intel's reported chip defect in the first quarter of 2011 and the two players have already adjusted their shipment schedules of new models to the second quarter, according to sources from upstream players.
