Mobile phone manufacturers call for reduction of import duties in India

Since Narendra Modi took office as India's prime minister, India has built its mobile phone ecosystem by import tariff hikes. However, an India-based industry body called for rationalizing and reducing these import duties to help India transition from import substitution to export promotion.
