Tablet and smartphone penetration rates expected to increase in 2013

The IEK of Taiwan's Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) expects tablet shipments to surpass 30 million units in 2013, which will produce double-digit output value and an on-year increase of 50% during the time period, according to sources at the research institute.
