Partners expect Motorola to change its ODM strategy

As Google has recently started reorganizing Motorola Mobility's manpower and product strategy, sources from Taiwan-based ODMs, observing from their orders, expect their handset orders from Motorola to drop. As for the long term, the sources expect Motorola to turn its focus to only the entry-level and high-end markets, and will continue to outsource its entry-level handsets to its ODM partners; however, there is still a chance that Motorola will turn to focus on only high-end models to compete against Apple and Samsung Electronics, and will completely phase out from the entry-level segment.
