Samsung in-house-developed smartphone processor may impact Qualcomm, TI, Nvidia

Samsung Electronics' in-house development of an ARM-architecture processor, Exynos, for use in its Galaxy S III smartphone signals Samsung's stepping into development of ARM processors for use in smartphones and tablet PCs, and the situation is expected to decrease Samsung's orders to Qualcomm and pose a competitive threat to Texas Instruments and Nvidia, according to industry sources.
