Polytronics cuts into supply chain for smartphones with PPTC resistors

Protective component maker Polytronics Technology has revealed that its SMD polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) resistors have been adopted by smartphone vendors, for use in handset-use lithium batteries. It did not disclose any client names.
