Report: BlackBerry Bold top handset in Q4

Research firm Strategy Analytics tracks the design and engineering trends in the handset market, and, thanks to a teaming between Strategy Analytics and FierceWireless, we'll bring you some key figures from the firm's reports. In January, another 52 new handsets and 1 new USB dongle were announced globally by 26 vendors. The firm's fourth-quarter 2009 shelf share analysis of 140 mobile network operators showed that Research In Motion's BlackBerry Bold 9000 was the No. 1 handset, appearing in the portfolio of more carriers than any other handset, and fending off challenges from Nokia's N97 and 5800.
