Notebook replacement boom will not happen until 2H12, say Taiwan makers

The global large-scale replacement of notebooks, due to negative economic impacts and strong competition from iPad, will not happen until the second half of 2012 when the combination of Intel Ivy Bridge and Microsoft Windows 8 will play a key role in the market, according to Taiwan-based notebook makers.
