Start a good/bad reference thread?

Hi All, I'm new to Cellpex. I'm been contacted for quite few deals here, but am worried send money to a stranger. I was thinking if those who have good/bad transactions to voice their opinions here, so newbies like us have some references in dealing with peole on here.

What exactly are you looking for? To be honest since you are in Hong Kong, you should probably just be looking around for local dealers in your area, as Hong Kong is probably just about where phones are as cheap as they get. Look in your own back yard first before dealing with people over the net. Good luck.

I'm looking for iphones, but many of those who contacted me a brokers. These brokers might be genuine and perfectly honestly, but the suppliers they are working with might not. So I'm try to see if anyone here has had good experience with people on this board. As for iPhone, price in Hong Kong is not as competitive as those overseas, hence my presence here.

Well, that's exact concern of what Richard mentioned. Brokers don't have the actual stock and can't verify if the stocks are geniune. They may as well be model that was sought after, but not in the exact condition as described. The buyer, like myself, maybe on the losing end and bare the full lost of whatever was bought. The broker, on the other hand, may get away with eveything cuz it's not their money that was lost. People have to understand we aren't all billionaires that have large amount of spare money and wouldn't matter if they lost a couple hundred thou. Every dollar that we lose, is 1 less dollar paying for our bills. Hence the protective nature of us buyers. That's why I want to deal with people who own the actual stock instead of add layers to the pyramid. The more hands involved, the bigger the risk. That's why I like to do fly and buy deals. But sadly, I have to say that most of the people here are brokers who dont' own the actual stocks and have to rely on their suppliers' good faith. Now, to straighten out the facts, I'm buying locked 8gb 3g iphones for less than $500 USD a piece, but I have to collect them one by one. These is too time consuming and instable supply. The reason my presense on this forum trying to get a real deal.

Koalatree, we have been in this business a while and have many connections, and I am not sure how it is in Hong Kong, but I know for the most part locked iphones in the US are still wholesaling over $500. This board is full of brokers and so it will be difficult to find your deal. People that actually own stock I think you won't be able to agree on price. I know our price on these seem pretty far from what you wish to pay, but we do have them, and we do sell out at these prices every week. Most legit dealers will be much much higher than the price you are wanting to purchase at. I think your troubles are a combination of this board being full of brokers and also your pricing expectations. Sometimes I feel like this board is like the blind leading the blind. Good luck in your search.

Where is the good/bad reference thread for buyers? Because I know a lot of buyers (some who are members of this site) who say they can complete transactions, but when push comes to shove, they don't have the capability to complete the transaction. They just waste your time. The road goes both ways people...For every scammer supplier out there, there is one equally ridiculous buyer out there who says they can perform, but who actually can't. If there can be a good/bad reference thread for suppliers, then I think the clown buyers who can't perform should be outed too.

Our partner Company Globalstar Electronics has iphones I know they have 14 day iphones in HK at a dealer they do lots of business with 300-400 weekly ATT iphones here in the US 100-200 weekly O2 locked euro iphones in Germany another company i know they have done lots of business with. Now we have discussed brokering and all this. Neither us nor globalstar are brokers. But since the phone is a euro version of the iphone it makes little sense to ship it here when the very person who will want it is already in europe. Also there is a difference when the phones are at a dealer or distributor that is verified and you have done business with before vs some unknown person. Honestly i do not know how brokers ever make money. You must spend 90% of your day finding phones. then you have to make sure you get paid and in a day when many brokers do not know what they are doing and lose peoples money i for one will not do business with a broker. And when you do business with a broker you have no idea who the company is on the other end and if they are legit. I know that we only do business with companies we can verify and check out. Same way with most companies we buy from. Word of advice any company who gets upset at asking for references or is unwilling to give them out no matter how good the price may be you would be better off just walking away. No legitimate company will have issues with you checking them out.

Richard, good advices. I would only buy from someone who owns the stock or allow me to inspect the goods then pay, i.e. fly and buy deals. But I say at least 90% on here are brokers who says they have stock and say their supplier is legitimate, but the truth of the fact is that these brokers have never met with their supplier before and make such claim. On the other hand, I have contacted Jason for the 14 days iPhones, but have been waiting for a few days when I can pickup a sample lot. Would you mind chasing him up for me? I emailed him again and he said he is arranging and has been arranging for a few days already. Thanks Rich.
