Black market phones are white hot in China

Sales of counterfeit cell phones are dramatically increasing in the Chinese handset market, and black market manufacturers are churning out a range of handsets including those from Motorola, Samsung and even Apple's iPhone. Technological advances have allowed small companies, some as few as 10 people, to churn out fake phones, which consumers happily snap up. And some black market phone sellers don't even try to hide the fact that they are selling counterfeit handsets. According to research firm Gartner, black market products account for more than 20 percent of all phone sales in China, the world's largest cell phone market. Article
