Apple business helps South Korea-based suppliers overcome weakness in small-size display market, says IHS

Benefiting from their sales of LCD to smartphone and tablet OEM services, most notably to Apple, Korea-based panel suppliers in September 2012 defied a decline in the overall small- to medium-size display (SMD) market with a 9% expansion in shipments compared to August, according to research firm IHS.
