Price of quad-core smartphones in China may fall to US$100/unit

Qualcomm and MediaTek have been competing over solutions for quad-core entry-level smartphones. China-based handset makers believe that, by the second half of 2013, there will be quad-core handsets priced around US$150/unit in China, and with increasing competition, it is likely the price of quad-core smartphones will fall to US$100/unit by the end of 2013.
