Strong demand for smartphones in 2Q12 continues to drive the worldwide mobile phone market, says IDC

The worldwide mobile phone market grew 1% on year to 406 million units in the second quarter of 2012, as Samsung Electronics and Apple shipped almost half of the world's smartphones, according to IDC.
