Handset PCB makers to see losses in 1Q09 on low utilization rates

Handset PCB makers expect a 5-10% sales growth in February as demand is recovering, but will still see losses for the first quarter since the average utilization rate for the period will only be about 50%, according to industry sources. Handset PCB sales in the first quarter are expected to decline over 50% compared to the same period of 2008, the sources said.
